The skinnier the heel, the sexier the shoe. Miranda, Olivia and Karlie all perfectly demonstrate this. Please leave the thick heels to flight attendants and your grandmother.
Black obviously goes with everything, so it makes sense to have pair of black pumps. The material is up to you. I like to pair patent leather pumps with dresses and skinny jeans and stick with my suede heels for the office.
Remember we’re talking about heels, not kitten heels. The perfect black pump is NEVER going to be a kitten heel. Three to four inches is a good starting point. Anything higher than that and you better hope those shoes are darn comfortable or have a platform.
I’ve been a fan of Nine West heels since high school. They always have great pairs of simple black pumps that are also comfortable. Zara also has affordable options. If money is not an issue, give my favorite men Jimmy, Christian and Manolo a visit.
