You may have expected an Oscar fashion roundup today, but since I don’t have anything nice to say about anyone I’m not going to say anything at all.
Honestly, that was the worst red carpet I’ve seen in a long time. Good dresses were often accompanied by awful hair, which ruined the look. Then you had good hair paired with hideous dresses. And there were enough sequin dresses to fill an entire landfill, which is where they belong. Really, how hard can it be to find a flattering, classy dress?
So instead of blinding your eyes with celebrities attempting to look good in designer dresses, I thought an outfit post would be more appropriate.

I agree, there was sort of a mismatch between dresses and hair. My mom went to beauty school, and it always used to kills her inside when we would watch an award show and see these women in beautiful ball gowns with their hair in an up-do that looks like a ponytail. I mean, seriously? They probably spent a ton of money for a hair dresser to put their hair in a ponytail. Sigh. However, there was some very beautiful looks last night as well. I was a big fan of Jennifer Lawrence’s Dior dress.
Maybe your mom should become a celebrity hairstylist! She would probably do a way better job!
