If you’ve been an Instagram user for a while you’ve probably noticed some photos with certain effects on them like hearts and sparkles. At first I thought there must be some filter that creates those effects, but no matter how many times I looked I couldn’t find one.

Finally I discovered those cool textures and filters were actually a completely separate app-Picfx. Picfx has over 100 effects, textures and frames to choose from and you can edit your photos in Picfx and then share them on Instagram.

Picfx costs $1.99 in the app store and if you use Instagram as much as I do it’s definitely worth paying for.
